According to the Susquehanna Hose Company’s website, their fire boat responded mutual aid to North East, Maryland, in Cecil County, for a boat fire.
On Saturday at 1036 hours, the Hose Company was alerted for Marine 552 to respond & assist Cecil County units on a boat fire in the North East River. Cecil County units were first on scene, however became disabled due to rough seas. Marine 552 was on scene shortly after alert & advised they still had heavy smoke coming from the vessel.
The bulk of the fire was knocked by Marine 552′s deck gun & the crew then boarded the vessel to knock a few hot spots with a handline.
